Moment of the Day - 05th November 2012
Our moment of the day today comes from Starplus star-crossed love story Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon. For the past few days the show was going downhill, something was not exactly right and viewers were highly effected by the happenings shown because the show did not cater to the IPK Brand, but now it does look like the dark clouds have shifted or are shifting because the silver lining is slowly becoming visible. Well lets hope that things will get more bigger and better.
Coming back to the moment of the day it was the one between Arnav and Khushi.. Though one would have wanted Khushi to be more giving and Arnav less distanced. The moment without doubt was a treat to sore eyes, because it was one that came after what looked like an ERA making it all the more special.
So Khushi is disturbed about Sheetal keeping mum about her husband and Aarav’s Dad, her mind is preoccupied with thoughts and discussions of the resemblances between Aarav and Arnav Aarav and much more. To add to the confusions and suspicion Khushi witnesses Sheetal breaking her fast using the former’s Taal and understands that Sheetal had kept vrat for Arnav. She was already disturbed and this adds to her dilemma.
Arnav tells Khushi he wants to give her something and takes her away from the dining hall. Khushi is engrossed in her thoughts when Arnav asks Khushi to get ready as he had planned to take her out for dinner.Had it been some other circumstance Khushi would have readily agreed to it, but she knew that her recent learning’s would affect her, she would not be able to enjoy with Arnav and then Arnav would come up with questions etc because of which she tells him that she was tired and wasn’t in the mood to go have dinner. Arnav tells her that he does not want to hear any excuses, typical ASR style and tries to reason with her, tells Khushi that he wanted to do this for her, because it was her day.. she had fasted the entire day for him.. But Khushi who is highly upset about the whole Sheetal thing tries to make Arnav understand that she was really not in that place to get uplifted once she saw her favorite food and that they go to dinner another day.. Well it does leave Arnav quite unhappy but he decides to not push her and adheres to Khushi’s wish.
He is upset and it shows when he answers her vaguely when she asked where to keep his files. Khushi comes across an envelop addressed to her and finds out that it contains legal documents of KKGSR Catering Business (That’s loop closure for KKGSR Dabba Service track) Arnav tells her that he had thought of gifting it to her at the Restaurant to make it more special, when it hits Khushi that she had actually upset him. He wanted to do something for her and Khushi in her state of mind, with the zillion questions about Sheetal and Aarav and their connection to Arnav floating around she had become the reason for making Arnav upset.
She catches hold of her ears like she always does, and says “Sorry”, she tries to bring a smile to his face and succeeds.. Khushi asks Arnav why he did this now? What was the need for something like this? Arnav being the practical man he is tells her that she need not depend on anybody for money and if something happens.. Khushi does not actually allow Arnav to complete the sentence but its kinda understood ki why she hit him, because today was the day she kept vrat for his long life, for his well being and he was busy saying just the opposite and finally the two make up.
The moment after a long time showed glimpses of the ArShi viewers longed to see.. The ArShi flavor was quite there.. His practicality, her innocence, their undying love for each other inshort the scene had it all.
Truly our moment of the day and worth all the wait.

Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon [Episode 380] 5th November 2012 Written Update
Arnav and Khushi romancing and finally the moon comes out and Khushi runs out. Mami is talking to Mama on the phone and breaks her fast, other women are slowly breaking their fast as well, Payal is looking through the taali at Akash and Anjali is taking pictures of everything. Everyone finishes the breaking fast rituals, Anjali looks slightly upset and Nani consoles her, Anjali says she may be upset but is happy for everyone and she is fine. There is a hand coming out of the table and taking food, Anjali sees this in the camera and goes to the table. She sees that its NK and takes a photo, NK seems to have been cought with the taali and runs away, he then sees Sheetal through the taali, Mami comes in saying Karva Chauth in reverse and looks at Sheetal. Khushi then breaks her fast and questions Arnav about the challenge, Sheetal is looking on as Arnav is breaking KHushi’s fast with a Jalebi. Khushi sees Sheetal looking but Sheetal turns her back.
Khushi is at the poolside and is tidying up and wonders where the taal is. Sheetal is seeing all this from inside. Nani enquires about Arav but he is sleeping. As Arnav goes to sit down he sees Khushi outside and goes to get her to come in to eat. Sheetal states she will go and help Khushi, she comes th to Khushi for help but Khushi declines and states she cant find her taal. Sheetal wants to help and Arnav states for them to go as he will not eat without her. As Khushi is walking she is wondering about Sheetal. Sheetal gets her shawl out and looks at the moon through it, she calls Arnav’s name and looks at him through the shawl and makes excuses about a phone call. Khushi tells Arnav to go ahead and that she will be along in a while. She notices Sheetal going under the table and drinking water from her Taali and is shocked about what she is seeinga dn that Sheetal used her taal. This means Sheetal kept a fast for Arnav.
Khushi asks where Arnav is taking her, he tells her he wants to give her something. Khushi talks to herself that she needs to speak to Sheetal. NK states that after fasting food tastes even better. Nani complements about his fasting and that he will get a good wife. Arnav tells Khushi to get ready as they are going out for dinner. Khushi says she is tired but Arnav wants to do something special for Khushi but she tells him to leave it and they will do it any other day. Arnav calls Aman to cancel the reservation. Khushi notices a envelope with her name and it seems like some legal documentation. Arnav tells her that her Dabba service is a legitimate company now. Khushi holds her ears and apologises and wonders how to fix it. She tries to think of ways to make it up but nothing matches, this makes Arnav laugh and he hugs her. Khushi asks what made him think of this, he wants her to be independent as one day he may not be there, Khushi gets upset with him talking like this. As they are about to leave Arav comes in asking for a favour.
Arav and Arnav are playing chess and everyone is watching. Payal states how Arav and Arnav look like each other. Nani states that she never realised how nicely he gets on with Arav. Khushi asks about Sheetal to Payal, Payal asks if Khushi ate well. NK asks for a glass of water. She then gets a letter from the servant and it’s the DNA report, she recalls her conversation with Arnav and wonders if this is Devi Maiyaa’s wish, she opens the letter and is apprehensive, she reads the letter and is shocked and teary about the results, she looks at both Arav and Arnav and back at the letter. Arav stating he will make Arnav lose, but Arnav states he wont lose. Arav does check mate and Aranv loses and they both clap hands.

Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon [Episode 379] 3rd November 2012 Written Update
Episode starts with Aarav calling to Sheetal and she goes in. Khushi tells everyone else that Sheetal will manage alone. Aakash agrees and says, we should leave her alone for some time. Everyone agrees. Sheetal goes in Aarav’s room. He apologizes to her. Sheetal says to him, what will happen by saying sorry? Why don’t you listen to me? Why did you go there? What if anything happened to you? Aarav says, I want to meet dad. Sheetal says, even I want you to meet your dad, but everything doesn’t happen the way we want. Aarav says, not even once? Sheetal says, I am with you na.. what else you want? Aarav says, yea and they hug. Khushi is watching them and gets emotional.
Sheetal comes to the living room where whole Raizada family has gathered. She tells everyone, Aarav is fine now. Arnav apologizes to Sheetal. She says to him, you don’t need to apologize and I will take care from next time. Manorama reminds everyone, tomorrow is Karva-Chauth. Sheetal gets excited and says, even I forgot. She then goes somewhere. Khushi explains Nk, it’s one of the most important days for a wife. Arnav says, yea right.. and leaves from there. Nk asks what happened to him? Khushi says, he doesn’t believe in this day. Anjali gets lost in some thoughts. Khushi sees her and holds her hand. Anjali says, yes and it’s first Karva-Chauth of my two bhabhis. Payal says, I will definitely keep this fast, am not sure about Khushi. Khushi says, why not? I will also keep this fast. She then prays God to help her in keeping this fast.
All bahus are getting mehendi done in their hands. Anjali is putting mehendi on Khushi’s hand. Nk is putting mehendi on Manorama mami’s hand. Sheetal comes there and asks, wow can I put mehendi too? Mami says, you kept fast too? Sheetal says, no I just like mehendi. Nani then puts mehendi in Sheetal’s hand. Khushi gets lost in thoughts and looks at Sheetal. Khushi’s mehendi is done and she’s going upstair where she sees Aarav. She tells him, you should be resting.. what are you doing here? Aarav says, I am fine and why everyone is making noise? Khushi says, it’s Karva-Chauth tomorrow so all bahus are getting mehendi done in their hands. Aarav says, oh yes.. it’s the festival when mumma fasts. Aarav now goes to Sheetal. Khushi is in her room and eating one last time before midnight like she has never seen food before. She is talking to herself while eating. She says, on one side Sheetal says she is not keeping this fast, and on the other side Aarav says, she keeps this fast. And if she does this fast, then for who? Arnav comes there and asks her what’s going on? And then he tries to eat too, but Khushi tells him, don’t touch this food.. it’s for me. Arnav tells her, who told you to do all this? Khushi says, why not? All wives keep this fast for their husbands long life. Arnav says, I don’t believe in all this. Khushi says, but I do believe and she tells him to learn something from Salman Khan who keeps fast for her wives in all his movies. Arnav asks, so you want me to fast? Khushi says, no.. else you will get sick. Arnav tells her, you can’t keep this fast. Khushi says, you don’t know me properly yet.. once I commit then … and then some sounds come from her stomach. Arnav laughs and challenges her that she can’t fast. Khushi asks, what kind of husband you are? Arnav says, if I win then no fasting from next time. Khushi agrees.
All ladies are cooking in kitchen where Nani tells them, why are you helping me? I should be preparing all this alone for all my bahus. Khushi says, we are helping so all food get prepared faster. Anjali says, it is so much fun.. wake up early .. prepare food like this and eat in morning.. and then don’t eat anything whole day. She then tells everyone not to worry.. at least no one is betraying now.. and she is very hapy now. In the background, mami is snoring. She opens her eyes and asks if food is ready or no. Nk also wakes up early to encourage all bahus. Nani gives some gifts to bahus and they do other rituals. Khushi tells everyone to eat as much as they can because sometimes moon take forever to show up. All these remind Nani of her husband. Khushi says, and my husband.. snoring and sleeping there. Sheetal comes there now and she wows seeing Kheer. She says, it’s my favorite desert.. can I eat? Anjali invites Sheetal. Sheetal sits down beside Nani who feeds her Kheer. This reminds Khushi how Nani said that it’s ritual that sasuma feeds her bahu first. Khushi says, yesterday night mehendi and now kheer.. isn’t it like she’s keeping this fast? and if she is.. then for who?
Khushi is dreaming.. Arnav breaking fast of Sheetal and Arnav says, awesome-threesome. When Arnav is about to give a hug to Sheetal.. Khushi says to Sheetal, you witch. Khushi gets up all of a sudden. She says to herself, now she started coming in my dreams too. She wonders how she will do this fast. She says, husbands should fast too. She says, it’s okay.. I will do it. I won’t think about gol gappe, jalebis.. she says to herself, you will have to do this.. else Arnav will win. She worries how the day will pass.. she has to kpep this fast and on top of that find out what’s going on with Sheetal.
She comes downstairs where everyone is at dining table. Arnav is eating his breakfast. Khushi asks Arnav, will you eat all this? Arnav says, so? I don’t have any fast. Manorama gets excited seeing all the food. She says, should I break my fast? Khushi also has water in her mouth and wants to eat. Mamiji somehow controls herself and leaves from there. Nk is not eating anything either. He says, how much you will torture me? And then he says, I mean Khushi ji. Nk sees Sheetal coming there, and says, you have to do so much for you love. When Sheetal comes there, he says, I also kept this fast so I get a good wife. Anjali asks him, what kind of wife do you want? Nk looks at Sheetal and says, I want a wife that is modern from outside, but traditional from inside, an independent, etc.. and the one who loves playing basketball. Anjali says, basketball? Isn’t it a strange demand? Nk says, someone with whom you get happy when talking. Khushi and Nk ask Sheetal to have breakfast too, but Sheetal says, I don’t eat such oily food in the morning. She leaves from there. Anjali asks Arnav to eat another food saying it’s delicious. Khushi closes her eyes and says to Anjali, you both brother and sister are alike. She leaves from there. Nk follows her. Anjali and Arnav laugh. Anjali says to Arnav, it was so much fun.. but why are we doing this with Khushi? Arnav says, you know I don’t believe in all this. We can’t decide how much a person can live doing all this.. fasting and stuff.
Khushi is talking with herself and says, I know he is doing all this purposely. But I won’t give up. Mami also says, I won’t give up. They two sit down together on a side where no one can bother them. But Arnav comes there with a bowl in his hand. He asks Khushi to make aalu-ke-pakode for him. Khushi has no choice.. she goes to the kitchen. Arnav is in the kitchen as well.. Khushi tells him, I will tell Hariprasad to make them. Arnav says, no.. I want the ones made by my wife.. no one makes them like her. Arnav slowly slowly says the recipe and how Khushi makes them so khushi gets excited. In end he says, and then me and you eat them together. Khushi gets excited and says, I will make them right now. After pakores are ready.. Khushi says, let me taste one. And then she realizes that she is doing a fast. She asks Arnav, why are you doing this with me? She gives them to Arnav, but he says.. I don’t want them now. He leaves. Khushi is looking at the pakores. Arnav comes back and tells her, no one is watching.. you can have one. He leaves. Khushi controls herself and doesn’t eat.
Arnav is sitting outside with his family. Khushi comes there with pakores and says, I specially made for Arnav. She then says how spicy they are and stuff. Nk and Manorama tell her, we were with you in the morning and now how can you do this with us? Khushi asks Arnav to eat but he says, no way..they are so oily. He says, give them to Sheetal… she is our guest. He leaves. Khushi is curious to know if Sheetal eats them or no. Sheetal makes excuses that Aarav has homework. But everyone forces her so she takes a plate and says, I will eat in my room while helping Aarav with his homework. Khushi also goes somehwere. Nk says, don’t know when this moon will come out. Nani says, there’s still time.
Khushi is wondering if Sheetal would have eaten those pakores or no. Aarav doesn’t like them, just like Arnav, so he won’t eat them. She then says, it wouldn’t be difficult to find out. She goes to Sheetal’s room and says, I just came to see what work needs to be done for diwali. She’s then going around the room to search for the empty plate. She finally sees the empty plate below bed and has a sigh of relief. She leaves from there happily. She goes outside and sees Hariprasad. He says to her, your pakores were awesome. Khushi says, what? You ate those pakores? Hariprashad says that Sheetal gave them to him as she didn’t want to eat them. Khushi says to herself, that means Sheetal kept this fast. And why is she hiding? It can only mean one thing.. the person who she kept fast for.. is in this house only.
It’s evening now. All guests are in and everyone is waiting for moon to come out. Nani introduces Sheetal to the guests. One of the guests asks Sheetal, what does your husband do? Sheetal makes excuse that she has to see Aarav and leaves from there. Khushi goes to the pool side to see if moon came out. Arnav is on the phone with someone there, but Khushi doesn’t see him yet. Khushi sees food in front of her eyes and gets excited. Arnav brings food in front of her and asks her to eat.. he says, no one is watching. Khushi gets furious and says, what do you think.. I am keeping this fast just for show off? All this seem a joke to you right? Yes, I agree that I am hungry and I am thinking about food over and over.. but forgive me.. all this might be joke for you.. not for me. I want to keep this fast. Arnav says, okay I am sorry. Khushi continues, I want to stay happy with you for forever.. and I believe that forever will get longer by keeping this fast.. can’t you understand? Arnav gives her a hug and says, I am sorry. Can I do something to make you feel better? Khushi points at the sky and asking to bring moon indirectly. Arnav turns her around and asks her to look into the water. Khushi sees her own face and smiles.
A song plays in background. Arnav kisses Khushi’s hand. And then they dance. Arnav carries her and is about to kiss her. But Khushi gets shy and just hugs him. She says to him, it’s a very special day for me today. Arnav asks, why special? Khushi says, because it’s my first Karva-Chauth vrat today and it is for your longer age. And I will keep it every year. Arnav asks her, can all this happen just with one fasting? Khushi says, I believe in it so.
Khushi is then opening something and it goes into her eyes. Arnav blows into her eyes to take that out. He then snatches pooja’s thaal from her. Khushi asks him to return it to her, but he doesn’t and he again tries to kiss her. But Khushi smartly takes it back from him. She tries to run away but her earing gets stuck into Arnav’s shirt’s button which reminds her of a similar incident that happened before. Arnav then points at the sky signaling moon is out, but it hasn’t. Khushi then runs away from there and is about to fall down. Arnav quickly catches her and says, I will keep taking care for forever.
Precap:
Moon is out and Sheetal looks at the moon first. She then shouts, Arnav so he looks at her. She quickly looks back to him through her dupatta and breaks her fast after looking at his face. Khushi notices all that.
Will Khushi be able to find out Sheetal’s true intentions?
Khushi is worried about Sheetal’s friendly behaviour with Arnav. She strongly feels that though Sheetal and Arnav pretend to be just friends with each other, there is more to their relationship.
Our source from Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon? tells us, “Khushi seems extremely anxious these days. She is evidently not pleased with Sheetal’s presence around Arnav. Just recently at the football match Khushi was quite disturbed to see Arnav, Aarav and Sheetal bonding so well together. To add to her dilemma, Aarav told the Raizada family that Sheetal is going to reveal the name of his father at the café.”
A dejected Khushi, when contacted, said, “I don’t know what to do. I feel so lost. I seriously find Sheetal’s actions deceiving as if she is holding back a deep, dark secret. I wish to keep karvachauth fast for Aranavji. I really am praying to God that Sheetal does not create any unnecessary problems for me and Raizada family on such an auspicious occasion.”

Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon [Episode 378] 2nd November 2012 Written Update
Episode starts with Aarav telling Sheetal, I am not going to school.. we have to go to meet papa today. Sheetal keeps ignoring him. Aarav says, so now I got it.. you lied me again like always and you’re not taking me to meet my father. Khushi says in her mind, maybe Sheetal doesn’t want Aarav to meet Arnav. She says, what’s fault of this poor child in that? Aarav is crying as Sheetal tells him to leave for the school. Aarav leaves from there. Khushi tells Sheetal, I know it’s your personal matter, but Aarav is your son and you have no rights to hurt him. Payal and other family members also tell her, you shouldn’t have lied to him .. you broke his heart. Khushi asks Sheetal, why are you punishing Aarav for someone else’s mistake? Sheetal says, what do you think that I like talking like this with him? But I have no answers to his questions.. I can’t give him his dad no matter what. Sheetal leaves from there.
Raizada family is worrying for Aarav. Manorama says, I think Sheetal can’t fulfill her responsibilites for Aarav. Nani says, Sheetal has so much stuff to do but I agree whatever she did today wasn’t right. Sheetal was there and listening all that. Sheetal now gets call from Aarav’s class teacher. Sheetal tells her to collect money from Aarav, but principal tells her that Aarav is not school anywhere. Sheetal says, how is this possible? I dropped Aarav till bus myself. She gets call again and class teacher tells her that Aarav wasn’t in bus either. Raizada family is getting worried. Manorama says, did anyone kidnap him thinking him as a part of Raizada family? Khushi calls Arnav and he leaves from the office.
Khushi, Nk, Sheetal are on street and asking everyone if they saw Aarav, but no luck. They return to home. Khushi says, they informed to police. Arnav and Aakash return to home. Sheetal says, it’s all my fault.. I shouldn’t have scolded him. Arnav asks her, what did you say? Sheetal tells him how she lied Aarav that she will introduce his dad to him. Arnav tells her, why would you promise him that you can’t fulfill? Sheetal says, he was sad so I just said to make him happy and I thought he will forget in the morning, but he got even more excited. Arnav asks her, did you tell him where you will take him to meet his dad? Sheetal says, yes.. but I don’t think he knows how to go there. Arnav leaves right away to go to that place. Sheetal and Khushi are also with him. Aarav is on the street asking everyone for a cafe location. In car, Arnav asks Sheetal why don’t you tell him about his dad? Why are you making him do all this. Aarav is trying to cross road but too many vehicles are coming and he’s struggling. Some kid in school uniform is crossing the road as well and he comes across Arnav’s car. Arnav’s car was about to hit him, but Arnav put the break on the right time. They think it’s Aarav but it turns out to be someone else. Khushi says in her mind, Arnav is so worried about Aarav.. I never seen him like this before. Aarav reaches the cafe and is waiting for his dad. He wonders, even if his dad comes there.. how he will know it’s his dad. Arnav, Khushi, Sheetal are still searching for Aarav.
Break 1..
Aarav is desperately waiting for his father to come. Arnav, Khushi, Sheetal finally arrive at the cafe. A cafe manager tells Aarav, you’re waiting here since so long.. I think you should return to your home. Aarav says, no I am waiting for my father. Manager tells him, I will drop to your home.. do you know your address?. Aarav says in his mind, if I go home then mum will never let me meet to my father. He then tells manager, my house is right behind the cafe. Arnav asks the manager, did you see any kid here? Manager says, yes.. he was waiting here for his father since long and then he said he lives around here so I told him to go to his house.. is he your son? Arnav says, no he’s not my son.. where did he go? Manager says, that I don’t know. Arnav gets mad and says, couldn’t you let that kid stay here for while? You had that rush to clear the table? Khushi says, maybe Aarav left to go to home.. and he might be around some where here. Sheetal says, no he can’t go home.
Break 2..
Arnav also says, he won’t go home.. he knows if he goes home then he won’t get to meet his dad again. Sheetal says, this was his last chance to meet his dad and he didn’t want to miss this chance. Khushi says, but if he was there.. then we would be able to see him. Arnav says, I am sure he is here.. and they start searching for him in the cafe. They can’t find him. Khushi says, he’s not here. Arnav says, no.. he came here to meet his dad.. I am sure he’s hiding so no one can see him but he can see everything. They see some freezer and goes to check there. Aarav is sitting inside that freezer and freezing. Arnav takes him out. They take him to the Raizada house where doctor says, he’s fine now.. I gave him medicine. You just take care of him.. it will be better if he rests. Everyone leaves the room. Arnav tells Sheetal, think twice before you tell anything to your kid.. you know Aarav is very sensitive so be careful. Arnav leaves from there.

Aarav comes out of his room. Khushi tells him, you should be resting. He asks her, why everyone is making so much noise? Gupshup: Arnav and Khushi are such sweethearts!
Anjali is very close to Arnav and Khushi and shares a great bond with both of them. She likes everything about them. Yes, yes their camaraderie left our little birdie quite surprised.
Anjali and Khushi are quite close to each other. She believes that she has a support system in Khushi. After all, they have been together for the last last one and half years, and have almost become inseparable. Seems a case of conjoined twins! She just can’t hide anything from her. Yeh to hona hi tha. Such close friends will obviously have their equation brilliantly balanced, won’t they now? The things she likes the most about Khushi are the facts that she is very light-hearted and doesn’t believe in taking things too seriously in life, not even her fame. Anjali admires Khushi for her honesty. Now, the birdie was getting curious to know if there is even one thing that Anjali does not like about Khushi, this is what was her reply, ‘nothing, nothing and nothing.'
Since Anjali was in a good mood, the birdie thought it was time to quiz her about her dear brother Arnav. She is completely smitten by him and treats him like her younger brother even off-screen. So much so that her chhote Arnav calls her ‘aap’ off-screen too. Everyone on the sets seem to be envious of this bhai-behen ki jodi but are very fond of them too.
Anjali confirms that he is a great mastikhor when not shooting. He is a fabulous person and very special to her. There is nothing that she doesn’t like about Arnav. Some of the things she immensely appreciates him for are his honesty, simplicity and a great sense of humour that very few people know about. She believes that Arnav’s protective nature makes him very special. He is very caring towards her and his co-actors. Well, well, all this goody information left the birdie beaming for a long time!

Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon Is the Magic Fading?
The new track in Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon has been generating mixed responses from the viewers. When one one side viewers/fans feel that the track is doing well, the other lot is disappointed and frustrated that the show is losing its charm and if this chain of events continue IPKKND- the Star Crossed love story that was once promised to the audience will be impossible to recognize..
So where exactly seems to lie the problem?
The various forums, blogging site and for that matter even FB are flooded with discussions and debates where the issue of major concern seems to be the way things are getting implemented and executed in Starplus’s most loved and most popular show. For a show who master’s at executing a particular track what comes across these days is sure surprising and unengaging.
When one is not entirely against or upset about the whole Sheetal-Aarav track because of its potentiality to generate some excellent drama, great suspense and extract amazing performances from a talented bunch of artists, its the execution or to be more precise the comic treatment given to an Issues as substantial, serious and powerful as “PATERNITY” that is not going down well with the masses.
There was once a “Kidnapping Track” incorporated in the show which did not see much of Arnav, because Barun was on leave shooting for his first Bollywood venture. It was Khushi aka Sanaya Irani who shouldered that entire phase. It was a serious issue/track and the CV’s did a great job with it, audience loved the way the entire thing was played out in the track and between the lovers -ArShi. Today when Khushi is disturbed by something as serious and huge as “Paternity” why turning the show into a laughing riot?
What defines Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon?
What’s the shows USP? You dont have to think twice before answering that its Arnav and Khushi and its always been them. Then where are they today? Where is the Khushi and Arnav that the viewers love to see??
Khushi:
Khushi is a Nauntanki, she is lovingly called “Sankadevi” and that is her USP that is what makes her Khushi Kumari Gupta Singh Raizada. But there is a certain amount of dignity one associates with the character called “Khushi” which once stood out, which is now slowly fading away. Khushi has her doubts its fair after all she is a normal human being and with such unbelievable similarity between Arnav and Aranv, plus the remarks she gets to hear everyday on the resemblance between the two from her family is forcing her to think if her Arnav is actually Aarav’s father. Can you blame her? Of course not but, but, but there is a fine line of difference between having doubts and trying to establish it by hook or crook which is what has taken over Khushi.
And it also looks like a major trait of Khushi’s Character is chucked out of the window which in this case is “The trust and faith she has in her loved ones.” Its surprising that this is the same Khushi who stood by her mother (Read: Garima) when everybody was busy pointing fingers at the latter, and accused her of wrecking Arnav and Anjali’s parents marriage and their lives. Khushi did not even know what actually happened but that did not make her think twice before speaking up for her mother. Here too she has no clue as to what must have happened between Sheetal and Arnav who are college-mates.. Kuch hua bhi hai ki nahi woh bhi nahi patha, but even after Arnav has opened upto her, after telling her time and again that he and Sheetal just dated a couple of times, Khushi cannot bring herself to terms with it which is something that stands out from the charcater of Khushi.
Arnav:
For a person who sensed her every uneasiness, who saw her tears even before it welled up in her eyes, for a person who looked at his soul mate and could say that something was bothering her, troubling her Arnav seems to have take a detour. He was visibly disturbed that Khushi had done a DNA test to match the DNA’s of Arnav and Aarav, which is perfectly fine on his part because he was shocked to find out that Khushi actually thought that Aarav was his son and her doubts were so high that she did a DNA Test without their consent. So they have established Khushi’s doubts and Arnav knowing about it, still we don’t see Arnav take any measure to put her at ease. Even during the much talked about Hate-Contract Marriage phase when he was hell bent on punishing her for a mistake he thought she had done, he never hesitated to ask her if she was fine when she sensed that she was not and today its as if he is alienated from Khushi.
And Finally Coming To Arshi as a Jodi:
ArShi - Who happens to be one of the most beautiful and powerful Jodi’s in TV-Pur. Looking at them today makes you ask “Is this the same ArShi we know?” “Is the the same ArShi we saw in the Telepathy Track?” They were miles apart from each other and yet they conveyed their message, what lay in their heart beautifully. It was sheer Magic on screen. Khushi did not have the need to hear his voice to know that he was calling her, she felt it…..that was another beautiful moment the CV’s gave us during the Arnav’s Voice Shutdown Track. Arnav too did not have the need to hear her voice over phone to know that she was bitterly crying and he tried to make her stop. This was what defined ArShi ….These are their true essence, the magic we associate with Arnav-Khushi which seems to have been ignored by the CV’s and Writers time and again. The lead characters have no connection whatsoever these days. They are together but still are not together.
Why did Arnav not see Khushi who was sitting outside the Basketball Court all sad and depressed? Where is the Soul-to-Soul connection?
Why does Khushi even have a day-dream of Arnav throwing Khushi out ? Why is there not even the slightest amount of trust?
They have taken a potentially good track, given the right-treatment it should be highly entertaining and engaging. But are we ready for any such tracks with the wrong treatment at the cost of ArShi, at the cost of this wonderful journey called Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon? Guess not..

Will Arnav get to sense Khushi's insecurity?
Though Khushi (Sanaya Irani) is trying to be her cheerful best but each moment of watching the Sheetal (Madhura Naik), Aarav (Vishesh Bansal) and Arnav (Barun Sobti) bond is making her restless and heartbroken in Star Plus’ Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon.
As seen last, Khushi could no longer bear the trio bonding post the basket ball match and went away from there without bagging much of eyeballs. Back at the house too she found herself lost in some stupid thoughts. The constant comparison of Aarav with Arnav and the praises showered upon Sheetal by everyone at home for being so perfect at everything has made Khushi feel low of herself.
And sadly no one seems to be noticing the fact, not even Arnav. Meanwhile, Khushi got hold of Sheetal and Arnav’s college pics and could sense very well that Sheetal was still living in her past.
This has worried all the more as she has no idea what might come out of the blow and shatter down all her hopes and dreams. Despite putting on a brave face and trying to be all chirpy and happy, Khushi is dealing with a big battle within and is scared of losing Arnav.
In the coming episodes, we will get to see Aarav being upset over his father not being there to attend the parents’ day at his school. Khushi being Khushi will try to cheer him up and will also plan to get a solution of finding his father. In all probable cases, Khushi might compel Aarav to ask his mom about the same.
The question from Aarav about his dad will put Sheetal in dilemma and will lead to a new puzzle. Let us see what happens next!

Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon [Episode 377] 1st November 2012 Written Update
Episode starts with Khushi saying to herself, Sheetal was looking at these photos which means she still hasn’t forgotten her past. Aarav comes there now and asks her, what are you searching for? Khushi says, I was searching for you. They talk with each other and in that Aarav says, I don’t have any problem with Arnav. He is cool unlike other family members. Khushi then goes to her room where Arnav also says same thing that Aarav is very different and pretty cool. Arnav says, I am thinking to take Saturday off so I can spend more time with Aarav. Khushi is getting nervous and by mistakely she passes her clothes to Arnav. Arnav asks her, are you alright?
Everyone has gathered outside in the living room. Sheetal is checking Aarav’s school stuff and she tells him, do you know next week is parents day in your school. Aarav says, I know and I won’t go that day in school. Sheetal asks, why not? You’re new to this school so you have to go. Aarav says, fine I will go but only on one condition.. you will have to tell me whose my father. Whenever there is a parents day, everyone asks me there about my father. Sheetal says, I am your mother and I am your father. Aarav gets mad and shouts at Sheetal saying, you told me you will introduce me to my father when we come to Delhi, then where is he now? I knew you won’t tell me.. you all are bad people. He gets mad and starts throwing all stuff around. He leaves from there. Nani asks Sheetal, why don’t you tell him about his father? Sheetal says, it’s not in my control.. if I could then I would have told him long time ago.
Khushi goes to Aarav’s room where he’s playing loud music so he cannot hear her or anyone else’s voice. Khushi doesn’t care.. and she talks loudly with him. Aarav’s keep increasing volume. Khushi also raise her voice. In end Aarav gives up and turns off the music. Khushi is still screaming and saying, no matter what I won’t go until I talk with you. She now realizes he has turned off the music already and she shuts herself up. Aarav tells her, you don’t need to make me happy.. I am fine. And when my mum and dad, whom I have never met, don’t care about me, then why do you worry about me? Khushi says, worry about you? No No. I came to ask you for help. But if your mood is not good, then it’s okay. She is leaving and then she stops. She says, but I always thought that whether anyone else help me or not… you will always help me. But if your mood is not fine, then it’s okay. Aarav seems like he wants to help but he doesn’t say anything and Khushi leaves. He turns on music again.
Khushi is trying to plant some trees. Nani and Anjali wonder what she is trying to do. Aarav comes there and sees Khushi struggling. Nani and Anjali smile and leave from there. Khushi is not sure what to do. Aarav comes to her and says, move from here.. I will do it. Khushi says, no thanks. I know how to do. Aarav tells her, don’t say that again and move fast else plants will die. Aarav sits down beside her and teaches her how to plant trees properly. Khushi smiles and says in her mind, finally at least he got something to do by and is happy. Sheetal comes there now and tells Aarav, I brought colors for you. Aarav says to her, I don’t want it. I am fine. Khushi leaves from there.
Sheetal apologizes to Aarav. Aarav also apologizes to her. He says, but I am still angry at you. Sheetal kisses him on his forehead and says, you should understand that whatever I am doing is for your good. I don’t have answers to some of questions and it’s better if you don’t find out some stuff. Aarav says, mum please.. I just want to meet my dad once.. after that I won’t bother you. Sheetal says, promise? fine then.. I will introduce him to you. Aarav gets happy and asks where we will meet? Sheetal says, in a cafe. Aarav gets happy and thanks her.
Arnav is in office and he is just thinking about how Aarav was angry and was throwing stuff around. He cannot concentrate on his work and calls Khushi. He asks her, how is Aarav now. Khushi tells him he’s better now.
It’s evening now. Sheetal is standing alone and is very sad. Arnav and Khushi go to her. Sheetal apologizes to them for Aarav’s behaviour. Arnav says to her, if you don’t mind then can I tell you something? He says, I know there must be some reasons and that’s why you’re not telling him about his father, but it’s a big thing for someone with Aarav’s age not knowing about his father. Khushi also agrees with Arnav. Arnav says, we really feel if you tell Aarav about his father, then he will handle things in a better way. Khushi says, Aarav is understanding.. he will understand and now he has rights to know who is his father.. no matter who it is. Arnav also says, I am sure he will handle.
Break 1..
Sheetal says, when Aarav was young.. he wasn’t going to playground.. because everyone else’s dads were coming with them. So I set play area outside our home. I tried my best to be his mother and father as well…. but I failed.. I could never become his dad. And I know when Aarav finds out about his dad.. his problems will increase. Arnav says, I seriously feel that he will handle. Sheetal says, no I can’t tell about his father.. and my one decision will affect many people’s lives. I can’t spoil others lives for my happiness. Sheetal leaves from there.
It’s next day now. Everyone is in the living room. Aarav comes there with two shirts and seems very excited. He asks everyone which shirt should I wear? Everyone wonders what happened to him. Khushi tells him, wear the one you want. Aarav says, no please tell me na. Anjali tells him, wear the brown one. He says, good idea.. I was thinking for the same one.
Break 2..
Aarav now asks for Arnav and Aakash. Khushi tells him, they went to office. Nk asks him, why .. are you missing them? He says, kind of. He then tells Payal to make some nice food for him. Khushi gets shocked seeing his good behaviour. She goes to him and asks, tell me what’s going on in your mind? Aarav says, nothing. Khushi says, I don’t believe you. Aarav says, I am in good mood today because I am going somewhere. Khushi asks where? Before he says anything, Sheetal comes there with his school uniform and asks him to get ready. Aarav asks, why school uniform? Do you remember we have to go somewhere? Sheetal says, yes we will see that later but for now you get ready. Aarav is getting sad.. and says, you said we’re going to see dad. Khushi gets happy knowing that.

Precap:
Sheetal is on the phone with principal and tells her, I have sent money cheque with Aarav.. please collect it from him. She then says, what? Aarav didn’t come to school. Raizada family is shocked.
